We want to be a praying church, because we believe prayer is a privilege and it’s powerful. We also want to commit the mission of our church to God, believing that “Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labour in vain.” (Psalm 127:1) So here are some ways you get be involved with prayer at OPC.
by subscribing to our feed on PrayerMate
If you subscribe to our feed on the PrayerMate app, you’ll be able to see a daily prayer request for OPC. It’s also a great way to organise the things you want to pray about, get inspiration and become more consistent in prayer.
Below is a short film introducing PrayerMate. Click on the icon below that to subscribe to our feed, or search for it in the app by going to: + Add > Church Life > UK Churches.

by joining Church Family Prayer
On the 1st Wednesday of every month between 7:30–8:45pm we meet to pray for our church, community and world. It’s interactive and engaging and you won’t need to pray aloud if you’d prefer not to.
We meet in the Parish Centre (just next to the church building). There’s no need to book – just turn up.
If you’re trying to avoid social contact and would like to join us via zoom for the meantime, that’s an option too – just drop an email to Chris Tufnell through the contact page.
Copies of the prayer notes will be available on the evening, but if you’d like to download them to help inform your prayers through the month, you can do that by clicking the button below.
